The March 27th and 28th, 2019 at Alhambra Thalasso Hotel, Hammamet
Publishing in peer-reviewed international scholarly journals is becoming increasingly fundamental for individual careers in higher education and for the ranking/funding of universities in general. The ultimate goal of any academic research project is to disseminate new knowledge through publication in a scholarly journal. However, the problem of writing and publishing a scientific article in the English language frequently arises for researchers in all disciplines since poor language quality can delay or block publication.
The two-day training workshop aims principally to improve participants’ ability to write a scientific article in English and secondarily to offer practical suggestions to achieve success when writing and submitting manuscripts. This training workshop aims also to explore the ways in which ongoing research can be translated into publications in high impact factor journals. It gets into the publishing process – beginning with the pre-submission/submission phase, through the peer review and revision phases, to the final editorial decision phase.
Language
The lectures are in English. The workshops can be either in English or French, depending on the workshop facilitator.
Participants
The workshop will be particularly relevant for doctoral students, post-doctoral researchers and university teachers who have either had some experience in publishing or are intending to publish internationally. In the workshops, the participants work on manuscripts intended for publication or analyze published articles in their research field.
